In November, three projects were funded through The Foundation’s first grant program. Grants were awarded to:
Indian Valley Butchers: Funding toward purchase a refrigerated truck that provides for transport of slaughtered animals and additional cooler space.
The Greenville “Spot”: Funding helped purchase bathrooms for patrons of the establishments bringing the first commercial life back to the town of Greenville.
The Lost Sierra Food Project: Funding to expand and improve Lost Sierra’s farm-based education programming for Plumas County youth. The aim is to offer field trips to Plumas Unified School District (PUSD) classes and host local students at their Sun and Fun Farm Camp.
