2023 Grants

The Feather River Community Fund was founded in 2021. Its goal is to help sustain and improve the capacity of rural communities of the northern Sierra-Cascades region. To this end, the Fund is requesting proposals from individuals, organizations, and businesses (including start-ups) who seek to improve the community capacity, vitality, economy, or environment in Plumas County. In 2022, grants were awarded to The Lost Sierra Food Project to assist their farm-based education programming for Plumas County youth; to “The Spot” in Greenville, to assist in purchasing rest facilities; and to Indian Valley Butchers to help them purchase a refrigerated truck. The Fund intends to provide three or four grants of five to ten thousand dollars. Interested parties should complete the application below or by calling the number below. Submittals are due October 16th , with awards to be made by November 17th. Questions should be directed to Feather River Community Fund’s secretary Marsha Roby at 530-394-7095.
